About Scherma Australia
Scherma Australia was started by Head Coach Simon Capon to answer two simple needs: A fencing club that could cater to fencers of all levels, and a reliable, economic source of fencing protective gear and accessories.

In 2024, Italian National Team coach, Antonio Signorello, joined Scherma helped to found Scherma's Italian Fencing Academy, to help foster in the next generations of Australian and International Champions.

The Academy follows a radical new fencing style which has swept through the Australian podiums with our students, as well as providing a fully equipped environment whether the goal be to fence casually, learn fencing for the first time, or hone your skills to a new level.

Our shop has two values: Quality, and affordability. By combining club and supplier, we are committed to offering the best of both qualities.
